Project: Laos 2016

Where: Southern Laos Goal: To raise $1,000 (1000 pairs of flip flops) In August, 2016, I travelled to Laos with my family for the first time. We visited remote villages where so many underprivileged families and children live. I saw that these children and their families are very poor and most of them have no shoes to wear. The goal for our first project was to raise $1,000 by the end of July 2016. We only raised $870 but I was very happy with how much we had done. We bought over 600 pairs of flip flops and we brought the shoes to Southern Laos. When we gave out the flip flops, all of the children were very thankful to get new shoes. I loved seeing the children so happy! |

I was so happy that we were able to give out so many pair of flip flops to so many children. A huge thanks to all of the people who donated to our first mission and a shoutout to Jadynn, Ashley and Naomi that helped fundraise. I am so excited for our future missions and I can't wait to come back to Laos!
